Dreams do come true. Our very own Loretta Wideen, who retired from RCH, Sherbrooke Day Program last year, has long aspired to bicycle across Canada with her husband. And they are now doing exactly that. They completed the trek from Victoria to Vancouver last week. Yesterday they left Coquitlam and headed out to Agassiz. While they’re undertaking this ambitious adventure, they are trying to raise both money for and awareness about schizophrenia. Cheques can be sent to:
75 The Donway West, Suite 814, Don Mills, Ontario, M3C 2E9. Cheques are payable to Schizophrenia Society of Canada. Write ” Wideen Ride” in the corner of the cheque.
As the trip progresses, Loretta will be sending photos to her son back here at home. News and photos will be transferred to a web site. If you want to stay tuned: here’s the address: www3.bc.sympatico.ca/wideenride.
Let’s all wish Loretta and her husband good luck, fun, safety and success!
