Enjoying Ottawa. Visiting MPs’ offices (Lou Sekora and Svend Robinson). Neither were actually in Ottawa, but the staff treated Marvin and Loretta like celebrities. (Well, why not, they are!)
At Lou Sekora’s office, Judy and Rosemary gave them a letter from Mr. Sekora, and printed off some of the web pages for handouts and did a bunch of photocopying. They also had their picture taken — one for Mr. Sekora, one for them.
At Svend Robinson’s office, Eric (I sure hope I spelt your name right) gave them a warm welcome. They felt great after their visits.
Of course, while in Ottawa, they had their bikes worked on. Loretta got a new bike chain and replaced the tires. She was rather hoping the tires would take her all the way across Canada, but alas it wasn’t meant to be. Safety won out over sentimentality.
