They started in rain and ended in rain. The got very wet. They met some people from Thunder Bay Schizophrenia Society in Kakabeka Falls, under pleasant weather conditions. Once in Thunder Bay, they brought their bikes to a bike shop, where their bikes were cleaned up (bikes were looking pretty scummy), Marvin got a better tire, and they rotated Loretta’s tires.
Helen (President) and Claudette (Treasurer) of the Thunder Bay Schizophrenia Society literally hosted them in Thunder Bay, helping them find a bike shop, helping with the press, putting the up in a hotel, and feeding them. They also made 10 t-shirts to be worn on their travels. The t-shirts have “Wideen Ride” and the Web address on the front, and “Support Schizophrenia” on the back.
Rotated her tires! Jeez. Her back tire was a little more worn than the front, so they rotated them. When was the last time you had your bicycle tires rotated?
